takin off pin strips

takin off pin strips

ok my car has some hideous gold badging and gold pin strips running down the sides.. i hate it all i want to take the pin strips off but a couple people have told me that it might ruin my paint. is there any way of taking the two strips off without messing up my paint

Yeah I've been wanting to take mine off too, but am afraid to mess up the paint.... mine are sparkly silver with a (A) right above the door handles... pretty :ghey:

LOL. I have seen a CL like that before.

3M makes some adhesive removers. If you do scratch it removing it or there are any blemishes you can wet sand the areas and use a leveling compound. You should be able to peal them right off. Any adhesive left behind sill come right off with 3M adhesive remover. I would clean the area thoroughly after and at least a little wax.

most or all of the oem honda acura pinstriping is just a sticker. try picking at the end of the stripe at the back of the car. its worth a shot.

mine were stickers. it just took a fingernail and alot of patience. and some adhesive remover for the left over glue.
