As far as using tint on the front lights, I would not do so, unles you use see-thru tint. The kind that they use on Bus windows that have advertisements on them. I got some of that stuff from a local vinyl decal store. I just got a sheet of it and cut it as I needed. Infact the kid who sold it to me had a Yellow WRX and he used the yellow see-thru vinyl on all of his turn signals and lights. Looked kinda good.
It is also the same stuff that you see here in these pics. Except that these are printed on. From the inside, you can see out, but not in. So the light still escapes when your lights are on.

I like it too. I have an 03 anthracite. What are the dimensions of the pieces before they are trimmed? I want to do the roadlamps I added also. Can't decide which % shade tho. Guess I could buy a set of each and use what I like best on the tails and the other on the roadlamps.
I assume it can be removed without damage to the lenses?

- Sheets are about 19" x 7.5"... so you'll have extra
- FWIW, 20% seems to be the most popular
- Yes, it can be removed w/o damage to the lenses. It's kind of a vinyl like tint... so it's not like you're gluing it on
