is T-6 metal strong?

is T-6 metal strong?

i'm looking into strut bars made out of T-6. taht stuff strong?

That's grade 6 titanium. Ya, Pretty strong man. My watch is Grade 5.

Are you sure it's titanium? I can't recall any strut bars constructed from Ti available on the general aftermarket. If it is Ti, it's going to cost you a grip and a half.

Are you sure it's not 6061-T6, a much more common material for strut bars?

it's aluminum

100% T-6 Aircraft aluminum (not cheep steel, or metal)

thats what it says'

CLpower: If you're talking about aluminum, T6 is a heat-treatment process, not an actual material. You should ask them what actual alloy is being used.

(If the construction is non-welded, it could be 7075-T6, which is an awesome material.)

I think the 6061 alloys and others have a T1 to T6 rating (dead soft to very crisp)
