sway bars

i have a set of comptech sway bars on my car and just put them on about 1 1/2 weeks ago and already am having squeeking problems.... i was just wondering if i run out of tape , then what can i use to stop the squeeking.... like what other lub. can you use???? damn squeeking already

and also if i want to add more tape to the sway bushing , then do i have to take off the whole bar or can i take off the bushing/ tape and replace it with new tape????

Try looking into swapping out the bushings...I believe somebody here said that CT has a rubber bushing for the bars.

Head down to your local auto parts store and ask for some high grade grease for bushings and bearings. Get rid of the tape and grease those puppies to eliminate the squeaks ...

Just loosen the sway bar at the bushings, pop 'em off, grease 'em and replace. Voila ... no more squeaks.

I had mine installed in the spring of 2002 by Park Avenue Acura.
They just started to squeak a few weeks ago.
I have an appointment with them next week for my 15K service and that’s one of the things they’re addressing.
