sux to be in texas

floods ruined a perfectly good car

type S killer; except for mike's car

"There is something romantic about meeting in the middle of the night, going to some all-night restaurant, laying the bets, knowing the tracks that might come clear. You're running as many quarter miles as can be, knowing the cops are coming, then scattering like cockroaches in the middle of the night."

that's Houston, not all of TX!

Up here in Dallas, we haven't seen any precipitation for over 20 days, looks a lot like last summer, 70+ days without rain...

Hum, aren't there power outages in CA? Aren't gas prices over $2.00 a gallon? Isn't the cost of living really high?

I'll take an occasional flood over that shit any day!

Texas does suck!!! I survived the flood and an then I was going north on the 610 and hit a piece of sheet metal. Cracked my windshield and put a seven inch gash down passenger side.

That's my dad's M5. It is repairable, with probably 15K+ in parts alone. I posted this story earlier this week. The other M5 was totaled, guy got 81K.

actually, that looks more like a shot of the tunnel between the basement of the bank of america building (where I work) and the lower mall of the pennzoil building in the theater district, as shot from the stairs leading up to the pennzoil lobby. it's right next to the gnc store (whose display window you can see in the picture).

I understand some of the law firms in the boa building have started carrying their servers down the stairs so they can set up a temporary office and get back to work. great idea, but we're 29 floors up in a building with no lights, a/c, ventilation (those basement pumps sure crank out the carbon monoxide) and god-only-knows-what seeped in from the bayou wafting around in there.

at least I brought my laptop home...

I lived in Venice for 15 years and have seen thongs a plenty. The weather is great, but the people suck.
