Suspension Blown out???!!

sup peeps

Welllll i was drivin down the freeway the other day when it felt like my passenger side front wheel just sunk in and started pulling to the right. Got off tha freeway and then my rim started rubbing like hell . Pulled over and switched to tha ol trusty donut and it looked like it would make it alright without rubbing...... cruised home and it started rubbing on turns when i was almost there. (lucky i lived like 10min from where this happened) So now it looks like my car is slammed on the front passenger side.... gotta take it to tha dealer 2maro

btw i had on some 19x8.5 rims ...... i hope this isn't tha cause of tha shock blowing out or whateva happened.

im switching back 2 stocks before i take it in tho........

if anyone gots any idea what happened ...... holla

geez, sorry to hear. how old the car, and how many miles? I'm assuming your running stock springs and shocks?

damn, 19x8.5, what offset were you running? You sure you didnt rub with the big wheels? It sounds like a blown shock, happened to me twice, but since my springs are stiff it wasnt a huge hassle like your car. Also i reccomend taking those wheels off before hitting the dealer.

thanks 4 the input.........the rims did rub like hell for a good 10 seconds lucky no tire or wheel damage tho...... im puttin the stocks back on and taking it 2 the dealership 2day. I'm thinkin along with you guys on either a broke CV , or blown shock.

btw the offset on the rims is 38

oooooh.......... 2002, 39k miles, stock springs n shocks...... 19inch wheels.

the tow truck came by earlier and showed me that it was the bolt that connected the steering to wheel, it had broke off...... my wheel could have easily broken off and went byebye it had no steering and was rubbing even with the donut on. horrible horrible

19x8.5 with a 38 offset, my goodness who sold you those rims. You are just asking to have cv and other suspension problems with that setup. Maybe its time you get some 19's that are 8.0 inches wide and have a much higher offset.

mayunnn....... yea i did get a pretty good deal on the rims n tires.... at first i was worried about them cuz i knew that 8.5 was a lil big for our cars, but i thought the only thing that could happen was me scratching them up. might be time to sell them and look for some new ones now
