supercharger reliability

ive heard before some members saying the cl type s 6speed cant handle the supercharger, what i mean their saying the stock engine cant handle it.is it true? i thought comptech supplies the right parts and fuel managment to avoid detonation.personally i think comptech make a great product and do trust them on their products and their dyno results from the 6speed supercharger.what does everyone on this board think about it? please respond. thanx , eric

The engine is not the concern, it is the transmision.

The 6-Speed's drivetrain can certainly handle the modest boost the blower will provide. I'm not sure who has said to the otherwise but it is not valid.

There are several members running upwards of 75 - 100 HP shots of nitrous, and have done so for some time, without problems.

The 6 speeds transmision should able to handle the superchager.

im no expert, but you should have no problems running the supercharger....ive been running my nitrous, which puts as much, if not more hp to the wheels than the charger, for over 3 months now and (knock on wood) have had no problems...my main concern for the near future is the clutch....and now since Comptech has graciously decided to put out an aftermarket one, i/we should have no concerns....our 3.2's can handle much more than Acura can throw at it....
