Supercharger, CEL and VSA light up

This has happened two times in the last month. I've driven the car a few blocks in the morning. The traffic light turns green and start off. The car hesitates and sputters, the CEL, VSA and yellow "!" flash and the car sputters while going. I drove a block both times and at the next light, it won't idle. After a few minutes, the VSA and "!" light go off and the car drove ok at lunch but the CEL is staying lit. Last time the CEL went off after a day off sitting in parking lot. I have had no trouble in between the two episodes and a few tanks of gas. Going to the dealer tomorrow but thought I'd pick the expert brains here. I don't have a OBD II reader so I can't give you any codes, sorry. Engine mods are the CT S/C, headers, pullies. The car has been running like a champ for 5000 miles with the S/C!

Its probably you're not getting enough fuel pressure at idle. Try to increase it. Do you have fuel pressure gauge?

TopGum, sorry but I just seen your post.

Scalbert and Myself both had this problem.. it is the IAC, intake air control... could be the sensor or you might need to adjust the screw.. Disconnect the battery if you adjust the screw so you rest the ECU.
do you have OBDII scanner?... if so, what CEL are you seeing?

I don't have the OBD II scanner. I do have the IMRC disconnected if that means anything. On my way home last night , the CEL flickered and went out. No, I'm back to normal but it's going in anyway. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to play with it. Thanks Smiity, this gives me a lot to go on.

You got to get an OBDII scan tool... I paid like 99 bucks for it... just do a search for OBDII... they go on sale sometimes... plugs in right under your dash and gives you the code.. look it up in the book and then you have a pretty good idea what is up.

Well, second time into the dealer for this but they are'nt seeing any codes It is a pain because the car will act up but then I park it and by lunch or end of day the CEL goes out and it drives great. I happens about 2 times a month, always in the morning driving to work. The dealer is talking with Shad today at CT but I am going to buy a OBDII scanner so if it trips I can get the code on the spot. Where is the best place to buy a scanner? I've seen some that will work with my Palm. Good or bad idea? Good news is the tranny is doing well so far.

I'm not sure but...

The service manual has Acura-specific OBDII codes *and* the OBDII unit (at least the EQUUS) has a small manual with "generic" codes in it.

Here is the link to the .pdf version of the Equus unit, and has some "Honda" codes listed in it:

BTW, here is a link where you can look up OBD II codes (“Use this page to quickly define your retrieved Generic (P0) and Manufacturer specific (P1) DTCs.”):
