Supercharge leaking Question.

Hi can anyone with a supercharge tell me what goes to that hole? Am I missing a hex plug? I heard a hissing noise and found a missing hex plug, screw or another fitting. I think that leaking hole rob me of .5 psi of boost.

Yes, that should be closed. I forgot the actual size but is is a standard thread and not a fitting. I believe it is a 10-32 thread. A 3/8 length should be more than enough.

i swear to god, take your camera and randomly take a picture of any part of the CL and scalbert will tell you the width, thread size, length and part # of any bolt you might be missing. And then, if your lucky, he'll tell you how to make intercoolers. ha!

your the man dude, i can only hope i'll have that knowledge one day

If there's a leak before the T/B (and after the S/C), you will see a drop in boost if the leak is significant enough. If you are hearing a 'hiss' at idle, its after the T/B and that's the the sound of vacuum (engine is sucking in air through that instead of the T/B) - idle should be higher!!

Remember, the TB is before the SC in this case. This is in the Comptech elbow which attaches to manifold where the TB sits in the stock location. So it is under vacuum and boost. Regardless, it should be plugged.

Well, it was a cap screw so it shouldn't have gone in.
