Stock 99 Max vs. CL-S
Just to add to the ridiculious thread that was closed about a Stock 99 Max beating a CLS, look at my sig. I own both a Stock 99 Max manual and a CLS. Before my headers and Intake, I raced both cars a number of times. (my friend and I switched cars)
Result??? No contest. CLS won EACH AND EVERY TIME. Now with my mods, not even close.
The 96-99 Max is a good car for what it is. A good commute car. Able to beat a CLS? Very unlikely. (stock that is)

I don't mean to start anything. I just wanted to say that from experience, since I own BOTH cars, the CLS is faster. A 02 Maxima is a different story (6 speed).
I love my Maxima, but the engine is just not as powerful as my CL

I'm not saying that I "murdered" the CL-S. It wasn't even a full car-length up to 80-90 mph and he was slowly pulling on me at the end as my 3rd gear topped out. If the race went much further he probably would have passed me. In a few more MPH I would have needed to hit 4th, but meanwhile he would have still been hauling in 3rd still all the way up to 110. But alas, this was a race on city streets in a 40 zone and there was traffic ahead so we both had to shut it down
Anyways, I'm up for a friendly race with NOVA, but I think I already know what the results are going to be. But it will be intersting to find out anyways.
