Stereo Code Question

So I was going to school everything was normal listenin to a CD on my way there. When I finshed school I went to my car turned it on and pressed the button on my (stock) CD player to turn it on and it displayed "Code". It allowed me to eject all my CD's but not load, play, listen to the radio or anything. Anyone know why and/or what I need to do to fix this problem?

it sounds like your radio lost power for some reason and now it wants the anti-theft radio code to re-activate it. You should have gotten a card with a 5 digit code on it with the owners manual. Put in the code and it should work again. If you don't have the card you'll have to contact a dealer to get the code for your car.

I think they also put the little sticker in other places on the car but you'll have to check with someone with a 2nd gen to confirm. Otherwise its a phone call to the dealer.

Do a search=there is a "secret" way to get the code w/o paying the dealer.

Here's a couple of threads from the FAQ forum that you should read thru...

I searched for radio and radio serial number to find 'em...

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...+serial+number

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=radio

that should at least get you started...
