starting mods

so, what mod should i take on first? first of all i wanna lower my car, which one is more reliable and better looking? i want a ncie drop but not too low, which one is better Eibach pro-kit or Comptech Sport? and what shocks to go with that? tokico illuminas or blue? i heard the comptech ones become brittle and break or something. then i want headers and exhaust. thinkin xs power headers and comptech exhaust, not sure yet if im gonna get the axle or cat tho. borla's exhaust is very nice too, but i dont think they make one for our cars. i like the low throaty deep sound of the comptech on the new tl's. havent heard them on a CL yet? just one from youtube, and it sounded stock (maybe bad video?) then intake, and ofcourse tints. so what first?

-Eibach pro or Comptech springs with tokico shocks
-Tints
-Headers
-Exhaust
-CAI

what do you guys think? thanks!

search around there are tons of threads on them.
it underdrives and lightens the crank. not adding power but freeing up power.

I would go in the following order if I had to do it all over again.....

Intake
Headers
Coilovers
Spacers
Pulley
Wheels
Exhaust
G35 Coupe
Start all over.

Would be safe to just get Comptech springs and leave everything else suspension-wise stock?

see what im lookin for is more for show than go. my car is already fast enough, i just want to improve the looks, lowering, tints, wheels, and the sound/performance. exhaust, headers, intake. i can get a better deal on the comptech springs, which should i get, comptech or eibach? would the warranty still hold on the springs and exhaust if i get them now since theyre closing? k thanks!

no more warranty since they're closing. i would go with eibach, they're pretty popular here, but i'm kinda biased since i have them...

i'm torn, i'm for both performance and looks... but more looks than perf. since i bought the cl =]

edit: you might want to look into detailing your car also... it'll look even more sexy

Here's some search results for Comptech exhaust

https://acurazine.com/forums/search.php?searchid=194746

Comptech is very expensive IMO when it comes to exhaust...their blower...not too bad...

You gotta pay to play...

I like the mods I've done so far. They make the car look alot better and i think its fast enough stock. I have a Cobra though, so I get my need for speed with that.

Give us a better idea on what YOU want the car to be.

Do you want to maintain a decent ride, or is the prefect stance & riding low more of a priority.

Do you want it to be fast, or is looking good and sounding good more important?

Regardless of whatever you want, I think EVERY CL needs lowering springs and window tint.

On the suspension side if you are going to do springs and shocks get the Eibach Pro Kit and Eibachs shocks b/c they have a million mile warranty. If you want some adjustment in ride height get the TEIN Basics.

PM me if you need any parts.

all i really want is for it to look nice and clean. i have an 03cls6 and it is fast on its own without any mods. nice and low, tints, and great sounding exhaust. coz this is my 2nd car, my first was a TL, and that was pretty fast for a first car. now ive moved up to this and wow, is all i have to say.

FYI, the CAI isn't just about making the car faster. It really iimproves the car's overall performance.

To note, after installing my CAI, some 100K mi ago, my car accelerates a hell of a lot smoother, and on long trips on the freeway, my car can get over 32mpg! Once I had about 450mi using about 14 gallons.

So, the CAI can help your car run nicer too. Just depends how heavy your foot is.
