SSR GT3 are heavy.

SSR Competition (gunmetal w/mach lip) are only 14.5# and look great.

Bad choice for performance
SSR GT3 are HEAVY = 23lbs (18x8)

SSR Competition look great w/mach lip and only:
14.5lbs (17x8) OR
15.4lbs (18x8)

Toyo tires are good.

I realize that they're not the lightest wheels but the wheel/tire combination will still be lighter than stock. Plus they look awesome, in my opinion, and the tradeoff is worth it for me. I love the rivets with the deep dish design.

Smalls, the ride is Sundance Gold...you either love it or hate it. But you have to admit that it stands out.

Who else has a hooked up PDG?

They are definately pimp wheels, but they won't be lighter then stock. They will probably be heavier because they are 1" bigger. Because the wieght is distributed farther out the rotational acceleration is worst.

Ant7701 - did u get the Comptech exhaust with the headers? I definitely want the headers but not sure if the exhaust is worth it...would I FEEL the difference or will it just sound better?

Can anyone else comment on the Comptech headers vs. headers and exhaust?

The exhaust coupled with the headers, like ant would tell ya, is gonna yield nothing in the "feel" department. Headers add all the power here with exhaust basically being nothing more then for sound and looks.

If you were to go with a turbo or S/C setup then the exhaust becomes more relevant in the power or "feel" department.

Basically from the factory the stock exhaust for the most part is as free flowing as its gonna get.

Headers add a max of around 30hp while exhaust is like 1-3hp at best.

If ya want some clips to hear the CT Exhaust check here:

Just got my wheels put on...looks awesome!
I'll try to take some pics this weekend after the car is clean. I'm surprised how smooth the ride is, I thought it would be much rougher.

The current tire pressure is 35 psi all around...is this setup ok? any suggestions?

35 is fine. SSR GT3's and GT1's are my favorite rims...especially on a CLS.

On NJ roads, increase to 40 to prevent damage.
