Srs Sensor

Im taking my CL in to the dealership tommorrow, because my SRS sensor is on and I tired resetting it with Chopper and that didnt work. I have warranty on the vehicle until 100000 miles and was wondering if it would cover such a problem . If not how much would it cost to replace the sensor.

does it need to be replaced or is there some way (other than what Blades has tried) to reset it? It was about -20 degrees here a week or so ago and the SRS light came on at that time. I was told by a few A-CLers that it would go away once it warmed back up, but it's about 40 here now and the cabin has been warmed up multiple times, and it's still on.
What are the possible solutions to this problem?
Thanks,

B

Same here. Granted my car has less than 50K. But I think it should still be covered.

My SRS sensor light went on shortly after my battery started to fail. Took it to the dealer and they reset the light, I bought a new battery (at Sears because Acura wanted $62 to INSTALL the battery) and the light never came on again.

However, the dealer showed me where the Acura (Don't) Care extended warranty would NOT cover the SRS sensor replacement. My cost ... about $500-600!!!

Oddly enough, the SRS sensor is NOT included in the list of items to be covered. It's weird and certainly doesn't make any sense. I think there was another thread recently where someone else learned the same thing. Of course, this was with the extended Acura warranty. I would assume it is covered under the standard factory warranty.

the sensor is one of the few items not covered on the extended warranty. My brother found out the hard way. Costs $400 total to replace, I think.
