Regarding your Warranty & Knowing your Rights

Ive been hearing about people and having warranty problems. A car dealership cannot void your warranty for any after market parts as long there is no direct correlation that your after market parts caused that specific failure. If any dealership tells you this tell them you will slap them with a law suit and you contact your district DA.

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...s/warranty.htm

Print this out to them and show them this is a Federal Law.

Just thought Id give you guys this info.

Unfortantly, it's not as simple as that. Yes the law is there, however some dealers can still refuse to work on your car, or claim mods caused the problem with no proof. You can threaten lawsuit till your blue. 99% of the time the dealer will not budge. You can either file a real lawsuit which takes lots of time & $$, find another dealer, or pay up.
Also I know someone who did go to court because of this & he lost. That law has alot of loopholes, & is sketchy in alot of areas.
Best advice ask around at you local dealers & see what they say. Might have to drive a distance, but chances are you'll find one that won't care.
