SRS Reset

Searched on the forums and followed the directions to reset the srs light but its not working. I unplugged the yellow wire under the steering wheel plugged in 2 wires. I have them touching when I start the car the srs light goes off after 6 seconds I then untouch the wires and have them retouch. This is when the srs light is supposed to go off and blink twice. But it does not. Can anyone help me out. Anyone in so cal near riverside, ca that can help me out. Thanks.

But can anyone tell me other ways or go over the steps that need to be taken to reset the srs light. Can I reset it with a OBDII scanner.

it might be something serious. but look at the light when you do it. remember its supposed to be connected when the light is on and disconnected when the light turns off. you also only have a few seconds. i have done this several times and it still takes me several attempts to reset it. i plan on checking if the ODPS sensor is covered for my vehicle soon

edit: ironically like a week before the light turned on, i had received the letter saying they extended the warranty and i brought it in when i came. That may have been why they were so nice about it idk

If its a current problem, you can't clear the light.
