Sport Shift issues

My sport shift/ tiptronic is wack sometimes, like downhill i take it close to redline and shift from 2nd to 3rd and it doesnt shift juss over revves and pisses me off. Also today i was in second and took it out of SS and it still was at 6000 rpm in like second and it over revved all the way till 7200. this is happening alot now a days and my engine isnt liking it

sounds like a tranny issue. A trip to the dealer should clear things up.

that has happen to me 6 or 7 times since i've had my car. won't shift from 2-3 when in ss mode. i usually have to put it back over in d5.

this has happened w/ both transmissions and ecu's.

Think this happened to me one night, thought I just didn't tap the shifter up, but maybe I did and it didn't shift.

Actually, the manual says that your car will explode if you first choose to sportshift and then change your mind. Page 43.

I really only use SS to downshift from 5th to 3rd while on the highway.

Could downshifting through the gates abuse the tranny more than SS? Doesn't SS time it'self to downshift, instead of the gates forcing/overiding the shifts?
