I see that we can get that little spolier lip thingy on our cars. I cant decide if its kinda cheap or not. I cant decide what I would like better the lip thing or just spend the money and get a spolier? How are liking the lip spoiler?

 

its all about personal preference. get what you want. i love my m5 spoiler.

 

I've seen many people with the spoiler lip and i can say it looks pretty smooth with the badges taken off...

I personally like the OEM spoiler on my SMR but thats me....and it has the light just give my car a little extra personality... but like cltypeslow said its all your preference...look through the photo gallery to see how much you really like it...

 

The best advice I can give you is that most of what you are thinking of doing to make your car look better has been done before. And the best place to see what it would look like is at a meet. However the second best place is the Photo Gallery. Just do a search for lip spoilers and see if anyone has pics to share.

 

Is there a cheaper plce to ge one other than ebay cause they want like 20$ shipping

 

i love the look of the M5, get the real thing at C-C-C.net. fro mwhat ive heard the ebay ones sometimes dont fit up perfect, and maybe lift? but some have had no problems, its kind of hit or miss i guess.

 

are the ones of off ccc.net pre painted cause the ones on ebay are

 

i got my M5 lip on ebay unpainted...and i love it. no problems after 2+ years.

the reason I ask is because you can get them already black painted on ebay

 

mine came black, but it was not painted black...it is the original color of the material. make sure before you buy; pictures can be misleading

 

mine came painted (off ebay) and it was a perfect match to my nbp I love the spoiler, it really makes the back end look clean

 

has anyone tried another lip besides BMW's? Ive never seen any pics myself. but if you want to wait a week before you buy the M5 lip im installing the '06 lexus GS lip spoiler next weekend and will post pics asap

 

as others have said its all about preference. i just ordered my lip (painted) from xenonspecialist on ebay, im sure thats where u found them too cuz shipping was a whopping 20 bucks. but IMO the lip really sets off the back end of the cl-s really well, i really like the oem spoiler with the brake light, but for the look i want i really like the lip spoiler...it should be here anyday now..

 

Finally some ones doing some thing diffrerent. I been waiting to see the the outcome of this for a while now. The m5 spoiler looks nice but like 50% of the people have it and 25% want it. Its about time to see some thing diffrerent Thats just my By the way hope the Gs spoiler turns out ok so i can be the 1st to copy your style Haa ha .

 

yeah no doubt... ive had this lip for too long now (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178963 ), but ive been waiting to install it with a body kit. The M5 lip sits on top of the trunk, the GS one goes on the back above the Acura emblem like Lexus/Toyota models now (actually im gonna have to move the emblem down a half an inch to accommodate the lip).

im crossing my fingers that it will look fine since ive never seen it installed on the car but im thinking it will look sick....
