Special License for skilled drivers...

I think they (politicians) should invent a "special" speed license. The drivers that pass the "special" test would bear a "special" plate on their car allowing them to drive in the left lane of an Interstate or Turnpike at high speed. No drivers without this license will be allowed to drive in the left lane -sort of like HOV except HSV (High Speed Vehicle). Their cars would go thru bi-yearly inspections, and the cost of this license will be very high (therefor giving the politicians an incentive to make this happen). What do you guys think? Am I on to something? Feel free to ammend AND send to your local politician.

dummy? PLEASE! Your pea size brain obviously does not understand the concept. Don't read this post or any of my other threads until you graduate high school.

Just curious as to how this is a racing story?

What are you guys picking on his post for. I think he is right something should be done. I have gotten pulled over at 1am in the morning with barely any cars on the road doing 83 in a 60. That is nuts. I'm not harming anyone. Maybe there should be a lane where the Speed Limit is 100 or something I don't know. Either way we can't change anything and it would be to dumb to try cause it wouldn't work. Like in the NY area there are EZ pass lanes for people with EZ pass for the tolls. Weel schumucks go in them all the time because traffic moves faster and then cut back into the exact change lane to save time. Same thing would happen on these lanes in traffic or certain scenarios. But something about night driving when no one is on the road needs to be worked out. I could have gone a lot faster than 83 and I told the cop that, I said "it is 1am there is no one on the road it isn't dangerous or harming anyone." But the whole point is don't flame him for making a point.

I'd be satisfied if they made a test for people to prove they are capable to drive once they become older(65+).

Ashamed he's from Boca

No way!!! You'll get all the civil rights people claiming all sorts of things. It would be such a mess!!

Why not get all states to adopt a universal DMV system where each state has the sames tests, same requirments, same fee's, same eveything.
