I am in the process of changing the speakers and amp in my CL.
So far the best and cheapest speakers I found so far are Infinity
Kappas, but I am not sure which model numbers I should go with.
My thoughts are:
Kappa 693.3(6x9) for the back
Kappa 60.3(6.5) for the front
ECLIPSE AMPLIFIER 32440 800w 4ch

Whould these model speakers and amp be the right choice?

what about those two little tweeters on the door? those are tweeters rite? what are you gonna replace them with?

 

How much do you want to spend? Do you like bright tweeters or smooth?

 

i like how focal polykevlar sound. 165k2 is what i'm gonna get. their highs are a little higher than most (not ear piercing), but that's how i like 'em.

I'm using Dynaudio at the moment. Love them. Pricy though.

 

Good choice!! I have Infinity Kappas and they sound good but i'm using a Kicker amp. When I bought them, the fronts came in a set with the tweeters. What subs are you gonna use?

 

I use MB quart Q series components in the front, the tweeters are really nice! I use Eclipse DVC 12 inch subs. They are really awesome!

Much Better than Stock. My Tweeters are 1in from the TC-604 Premier. I would probably describe the sound as being on the "bright" side. Very Clear.

Depends on what kinda of sound you like.
