Something Strange With Speakers, Help?
So.. yesterday, while listening to my iPod (thru the tape player), the right side of my speakers got extremely quiet. They each individually work, but it was like the balance had been shifted 95% to the left (which it had not).
I thought they were blown, but I checked fade front, balance right.. check, front right working (but extremely quet with volume high). Then I check fade rear balance right.. check, right rear working but extremely quiet. The fronts are fine.
So I put it on FM, they are all working normal. What gives?

Have you tryied to use a tape cleaner yet.
Possibly a dirty head ?
Either that or your tape/ipod setup might be bad now.
Maybe a broken wire ?
Have you tryied to use the ipod in a differnt car yet ?

I would do like parker said first. If you dont have a tape head cleaner you could try a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol.
Also your jack could be messed up. What I'm trying to say is the male end that goes into your ipod could not be lining up correctly in the jack.
Go plug it into your car and play it like you ussually would. Then jiggle the end that feeds into your ipod/phone. Pull it out just a bit and try to push it in deeper. Yes yes, I know..... I am talking about the cable not sex ed. LOL.

I have the same issue when using my iphone4, but I have an aftermarket head unit. I think it might be because I am using an adapter for the iphone3, it gives me a message saying "not optimized for this device when I use it."
