Ok, you know the feature we all like where if we leave the headlights on at night and lock the doors they will go out in 15 sec. and then come back on when we unlock it? Well, mine did this until today, now when I unlock it to get back in--the lights don't come on until I open the door. I believe I did this some how when I was getting out the first time and forgot my phone--had to turn around real quick and get back in to get it, going through a series of strange "Unlocking--Locking-Opening" motions.
Anyone have this happen to them? Anyone know how to fix it?

I guess if you unlock and then you do not open the door, it will shut off again. Once you open the door, light will come again.

U just waited too long before you opend the door.

If you hit the unlock button on the remote and the lights come on and you don't open the door within 15 seconds, the lights will go off until you open the driver's side door and then they come back on.

How long does it take before the door relocks? It seems that sometimes while I am walking to the car, it relocks before I get there.

And don't tell me to read the manual - cause I am lazy and prefer to ask you losers!

If you always lock your door when you get out of the car, you should never experience this problem.

Test it for yourself. If you hit the unlock button and the headlights do not come on, just hit the lock button and then unlock and the headlights will shine before you even open the door regardless of the timing. Of course locking and unlocking is using the remote..

If you just close the door, and don't lock, the lights will not come back on when you hit the unlock button. You have to lock them, and then when you unlock, they will come on.

BUT! If you press unlock, then wait for the doors to re-lock without opening the door, and then press unlock, they will come on!

also if you open the door before you remove key or havent narrowed it down yet if you turn the lights on after you open the door then get out lock come back when ever unlock they dont come on until you open door

After some quick testing, on my vehicle it appears that no matter what you do with the key, the door, or the light switch, if that last thing that you do when you walk away from your car is lock it with the remote and the headlight switch in the on position, the lights will come on when you use the remote to unlock the car.
