Is someone missing their 2003 CL?

random searching online yielded me this result:

http://www.erepairables.com/vehicle_..._acura_cl.html

seems like a damn good deal but the "salvage title" scares me away a little.

was wondering if someone here got it stolen from them since it has some nice gunmetal '07-'08 TL-S rims on it.

In my opinion that is way too much for a salvaged title not matter if its a theft recovery or not. A salvaged title devalues the car automatically and I have seen many clean title CL's going for that much so do yourself a favor and keep looking.

I'd even go lower...

Mrsteve just sold his 03 6spd with 110K miles on it with a clean title for under $7K.

You can get a car with a clean title with that kind of mileage (80K) for $10K (or less)...

yeah, way too expensive. i'd offer half of what he's asking. you can get a CL-6 with a clean title for that price, or less. it was probably also abused by whoever stole it

I have TL-S rims on my car right now, it doesnt look strange when its lowered and the color matches lol

...and Im not planning on buying it, Im happy with my car, pretty much the whole basis of my post was to see if someone "lost" it (was stolen from them) and wanted to get it back. I was being a good samaritan

Car has some good potential if you can get the price worked out like everyone says. Plus your insurance on it will be dirt cheap..lol

Whoever the car was stolen from would have been compensated for it if not it would have been returned to them when it was recovered. So I'm sure they know that it was recovered.

Yeah, insurance would be cheap, because in some states you can't get collision insurance on salvage cars... just basic liability... Total it out, and you're on your own.

Most salvage cars are cheap, which is why people are duped into buying them, but I don't know why anyone would buy a salvage car that isn't heavily discounted and still have all the issues a salvage car brings (insurance, resale value, etc)...

I wouldn't touch a salvage car unless someone paid me to take it...

My car is salvage for 1/6th the original value. If you know what you are doing; I mean working on cars its not a problem. Yes, I agree resale value sucks but I'm planning on keeping the car for awhile. Insurance on salvage titles usually isn't a problem at least in NY. As for being duped Low Base Cost of Car = More Money for Mods!!!!!
