Some 6-speed Info.

I'm currently working at Scottsdale Jaguar, which is partners with Scottsdale Acura. I'm always in the Acura dealership and know all the guys there. I have spoke to a few of them today and they said that they are starting to get ready for it. I.E. brochures and posters and stuff. They expect one out by this time next year. Coming out late Spring 2002 as a 2003 model. I will ask a few more guys tghat are higher up in the offices on Monday and tell you what they said. Once again I agree with someone who said I will not belive it till I see the 1-2-3-4-5-6 and the clutch. Anthony.

I don't even care if its 6. Yeah, it would be nice but the manual is more important to me than the number of gears.

Easier said then done.

At least I have my CL-S to drive in the meantime.
I know there are a couple of people on this site that are waiting to buy their CL-S based on the outcome of these “rumors”.

Dealers are always the last ones to know about anything. Everyone and their mom is reporting that the 2002 CL Type S will be getting a 6 speed, not the freaking 2003 Model which like you said is a year or more away!! No more rumors, no more hype, we will find out come this fall and all u doubting the Manual can either say "I told you so" or keep ur mouths shut about whether it's true or not.

Most dealers will work out something even if the lease has not finished. They will do anything to make money. So I wouldn't worry about IF you can get the 6sp but rather HOW MUCH MORE?

I'm not doubting the manual, I think most of us all agree it is coming out. THe mjoar questions is when. It looks like It will be released at the erailest After the new year. Ican't see it being released any sooner or the dealership would be hyping it more. For now i'm sticking to what the guys at work told me and that is Spring 2002.
