Sold the CLS...

Well, it didn't take long to go....within the next 24 hours my CLS will no longer be mine.

It took about a day for a member on this board to contact me once I posted info regarding my intentions. Everything went smooth, so I pick up my new ride tonight. The CL gets shipped out sometime in the next week.

I am getting into a 2004 Explorer XLT Sport 4X4, black of course. After the winter I've gone through I'm in for a 4wd vehicle, and something that will offer quite a bit more room than what I'm used to. Being tall, I'm looking forward to having ample leg room for a change.

I let the buyer know that a-cl.com has been a great resource for not only the CL, but also for cars in general. Even tho I haven't posted much over the 15 months I've been a member, I have gained immense knowledge from so many individuals on this board. And I definitely plan on sticking around here even without the CL being in my garage.

Peace

Good luck with the new truck dude. I actually went from an explorer TO the CL .. its like two different worlds. I enjoyed being high up in a truck and having fun with 4x4 but... it cant compare to sprited driving in the comptech modified CL

anyway best of luck, glad to hear you'll still be lurking around the board.

Well you almost made two years with her.

Best of luck with the new car. My buddy had an Explorer Sport and there was plenty of room compared to our CL's.

Yep, almost two years...and enjoyed every second of it. I'm going to miss so many things, but I figure after a two year lease I can always switch back to something fast and fun!

Without giving Ford too much credit, the 3G Explorer is a pretty likeable 5-pass SUV. They did a good job with this one.

I agree, which is one reason to switch. I have a few friends that are engineers in Dearborn and they have been pushing it since the redesign a couple of years ago. Plus it doesn't hurt to get a smoking lease rate

that's a tough sacrifice to make, but I guess you did some hard thinking to make this move. Explorers are cool! Good Luck!

It was a tough choice man....money came into play of course (I got a huge deal on the SUV), but I felt it was time to move onto a little higher comfort level. After one day with the Explorer I already find myself mashing the gas and feeling disappointed.

Give and take, my man...
