Smashed CLS Update *

Well, first i'd like to thank all of you people who posted, i know i argue with alot of you guys about service and stuff (you get defensive that way after a few years behind a service desk). but it meant alot to hear back from all of you with your concerns for myself and my vehicle.

The car was looked at the dealerships body shop today with a total of $6800.00 in repairs

here is the list:
left fender - replace
front bumper cover - replace
left headlamp assy - replace
left door - replace
hood - color coat
right fender - align
fender wells r&l - replace
subframe - replace
right axle - replace
wheels (3) - replace
tire (1) - replace
right strut - replace
front sway bar - replace
stabilizer links - replace
right spindle - replace
right knuckle - replace
right upper and lower control arms - replace
plus some other odds and ends

i'll get some more pictures as they are working on it, at least they are an excellent body shop, one of the largest on the east coast, plus i know the people there and they guarantee the work for life

and on a brighter note; the police report with some cop terminology said the suv performed an illegal lane change into me, and i was not at fault at all, so it looks like it will be 100% on him, enterprise rent-a-car had me reserved for a toyota corolla, but it was rented out a few minutes before my wife arrived to pick it up, so they gave me a free upgrade into a 2002 toyota solara (its not a CLS but it will do) they said approx 2 1/2 - 3 weeks to repair it

Hella, That's exactly what happened to my CL-S after I got it back from being repaired. I haven't had a chance to bring it in to fix the memory seats yet. Let us know what they find please. . .

Exactly. I noticed that the lights on the "1" and "2" don't function either. I'm assuming something was disconnected when the body shop worked on the car. I checked all the fuses and they seemed to be fine. . . The passenger seat "memory" seems to work fine, you know when you go the the back seat and the front seat goes back to it's original position. This doesn't work on the driver's side.

You have to relink the seats with the controllers.

How do I "relink" it? Is that in the manual? I didn't even think to try that. I just assumed it was something the body shop did. . .

Dude! We're not THAT lame This isn't a result of the battery being disconnected, this impact I had was good enough to knock out the Nav unit in the car I spoke with the service guy at the dealer and he says they need more time. The buttons just don't function, power or some control circuit is cutoff and I cna't do Jack about it

My bad, I reread speecracer's post and I misinterperted it . I thought he said the lights were working and so was the memory.

It's all good. It's just this little bit of electronics is keeping me from my CL
