Arrow Small Oil Leak. What Else Should I Replace When Going to the Mechanic?

My CL has developed a small oil leak from the oil pan area. At least that's where it's dripping from. Don't know the exact cause of the leak yet, but I suspect it has something to do with me running over a curb the other day on my way home. I'll find out tomorrow at the mechanic.

But what else should I replace in addition to the problem, once found, when I'm at the mechanic tomorrow? What are some common issues with oil leaks with this car?

Thanks!

Rear mains are known to leak.

I have never had a drip from anywhere on my CL... And I am proud of her for keeping her legs closed.

I did have all the seals done when the trans got rebuilt but that's it.

Follow that leak to the highest point.

What color is the fluid? Or is it too thin to tell

Thanks everyone. Luckily, it was only the oil drain plug. The washer was missing or was so brittle and old that it couldn't create a proper seal. So I went ahead a bought a brand new plug and washer. Cheap fix, except that I had to do another oil change right after I already did one not too long ago. I got a magnetic oil drain plug w/ washer. Figured since it was the same price as a regular one.

oil sender will begin to leak with age, not a hard fix but mine was leaking at 118K and 12 years.

I believe the Acura dealer was actually referring to #14 on the diagram as the actual sender is on the pump it's self (#16)

When your oil sender leaked, did it leak down the oil filter bracket? I'm dripping oil from the front side of my engine but can't figure out where. The oil filter bracket was dry but everything from the AC mounting bracket, whole oil pan etc are covered in oil. I checked the valve cover gaskets and the top end of the engine is dry. Any thoughts before I eventually take it to the dealer?

u probably have a leak coming from in the timing area which has a cover over it, making it pretty hard to track that leak down...
