Not really, they are driving a SLK. That to me is as bad as driving the new MB hatchback. :o Unless they have the SLK AMG model.

It was a manual, and sorry but an SLK-230 is about as poserish as a general C-class Benz, Porsche Boxter non-S, or a BMW 328. I wouldn't drive any of those wannabe cars, especially for how much they want for them. It's the whole "buying the brand name" thing where they just want to be able to own a Benz/Porsche/BMW, but can't afford a real one (and yet somehow can justify spending way too much on a piece of entry-level junk just to think they're a big dog).

 

True the 230 is slow as sh!t, but you do some small mods to that thing and it'll fly. Remember, the kompressor is s/c'ed which means easy power.

 

Are you talking about the slk 230? Damn, i didn't even know they had a supercharger in them. I should have opened the hood during the test drive.

 

Not 100% sure, but it depends on the year. If it says 230 its just a 2.3 liter 4 banger, if it says 230 kompressor, than its the supercharged.

 

According to KBB the only SLK-230 available is a 4cyl supercharged.

Congratulations on the win, man! I've had a couple experiences with the SLK series of Mercedes. The first one was a SLK 230 Kompressor, I was in my dad's 94 Miata which used to have a Jackson Racing Supercharger, and that SLK got roasted. The second I was riding in my volvo 850 turbo, and an slk 32 AMG was riding my ass, so I stomp on it, and he's still on my ass and gaining closer, so I keep it gunned, and he finally floors it and starts passing me pretty badly. I was dissapointed with my car thinking it was just a SLK 230, but when I got a look at the bumper and it said SLK 32 AMG, I knew I had just gotten my ass beat

why get a lower end model? probably cause those people only care about looks and not engine performance like 90% of us here.

 

How is a GS300 a wanna be?? Id take a GS300 over any Acura excluding a NSX. People on this board sometimes have the most irrational logic. So by your logic...a person driving a 540 is a wanna be b/c he or she isnt driving a M5. Every consumer isnt concerned with performance thats why they offer different engine packages.
