slight sputtering on acceleration?

wow super weird
I have had the exact same problem in my 97 3.0 for the past 4 months or so. However, I am an auto tranny, so most likely my tranny is on it's way out (though I hope it isn't). Basically it's exactly as described, happens at low rpms when I'm just 'slowly accellerating'...the car appears to 'hesitate' in transition to 2nd gear to 3rd...almost like it's stuck in neutral? This occurs typically at ~2500 rpms. If I let off the accelleration during this time the rpm's seem to momentarily jump and it appears as though it shifted into 3rd gear, though I'm not sure. It's like the car all the sudden has lost it's power and appears confused. Interestingly enough, back when my second alternator was on its way out, the 'battery' light on the dash would flash during this moment of hesitation...and turn off once the car shifted or was given more gas. Odddddd.
However, if I gun it or give it more gas during this time, it revs all the way up to 3k and shifts as normal. I have a tranny cooler installed and all that jazz. I'm really hoping it's not the tranny and just something else, but I'm going to have it inspected by the dealer during my next oil change. I suppose I should seafoam it just for shits and giggles since the car is approaching 105k miles now, but pretty much everything was replaced/tuned during the 100k tuneup so I dunno whatsup.

There are aftermarket companies that sell TPS sensors that you can custom fit on your throttle body, just requires extra work.
Or you can buy a whole new throttle body from the site I linked to above as their prices are typically 20-25% lower than most dealers.

I'm having the same problem with my 2002 rsx I replaced my o2 sensors just the other day and my rpms started sputtering around 2500-3000 and I scanned the car it popped up as a engine coolant sensor and the knock sensor nothing about a misfire or bad injectors so now I'm thinking could it be the knock sensor that's causing this problem with the rpm sputtering new to this rsx stuff could use some help thank you
