as long as it looks cool. you can make a car fast as shit but if it cant look good sitting still, thats a big no no. the sketches out there make it look like some sort of g35 coupe / 350z bastard child. i dont like that look for the GTR. the GTR needs to be wide and low and imposing looking, not curvey and bland which it would be if its look meshed with the fairly common 350z and g35 coupe.

It'll be dead on impact unless it looks like the R-34.

You probably wouldn't say the same thing once it comes out. Yeah right like you would feel happy when others driving new GTR and you driving that R34.

There are a few diff models of Skyline available...I think the Japanese counterpart to the current G is like a 'GT' model, something to that effect. The 'R' model would have to be juiced up to be higher in the line up...so oethier way, we win.

Actually, i would be happier driving the R34. Wanna know why? Every nissan dealership will have the new GT-R. Which means, every Joe Schmo is gonna have one. You take the new one, and i ll be chillin in the one that no one else has.

It won't be a Nissan in America. It will more likely be an Infiniti and it will just be called the GTR. The G35 coupe is already nearing $40k. This thing is gonna be $$$. A lot of speculation is circulating but most target the price around $55-70k with 480 ps (around 480 hp). The supposed engine won't be a 3.5 L but a debored version, around 3.3L, with much stronger internals. It will supposedly use the new electric turbos (don't ask cause I don't know what it is, but it is supposed to eliminate turbo lag) and use a new version of the ATTESA AWD system. Nissan really wants to make this the global flagship so they are making sure they do this right. Of course at this point this is all speculation so take it with a grain of salt. We know Nissan can produce something like this but the question is will they?

The Electric Turbos are actually electically assisted turbos, an other words there is an electric motor than starts spinning the turbo in low rpms where there is little exhust pressure. This should decrease the lag time.

I predict that Nissan is slowly preparing America for the skyline. Just look at the evolution. G35----->G35Coupe----->G35AWD----->
G35C AWD?--------->G35Turbo?------>GTR
Personally I can't wait to see this whole thing develop. Nissan is on the prowl, G35 is comparative if not as good as BMW's 3 series which yall know is the bench mark. Hopefully, the GTR will prove to be an M3 killer.

Saab has been working on this for a while...but nothing, and they are a big turbo user.

I can't see Nissan adding on turbos like that when they purchase from other manufacturers...as in...These types of turbos are not on any other production car, and Nissan doesn't make their own.

Just doesn't seem reasonable(financially) to expect such new technology from a platform-sharing company like Nissan...not soon anyhow.

Besides, nothing wrong with regular ol twin turbos anyhow...
