I would kinda like to go from dual to single muffler... but... what would ou do about the bumper cut outs. .

It just doesn't seem worth the trouble.

there must be somewhere to buy the cap for the cutout in the bumper. I had a 3kgt vr4 and they sold a cap for it. I just dont think imports need duals, its not like were driving mustangs, any true car fan who sees one muffler instaed of two
will understand!

its your world, dude....but imo i dont think a "big" exhaust will look right on a CL unless you have quite a few other agressive exterior mods to go along.

i know of a few places that sell the cap for the cutout, i'm going to measure the opening and see if i can get one as close as possible, then mold and paint it.
Are there any rear bumpers that dont have cutouts?

seems like most single muffler cars have the muffler on the opposit side of the gas cap.....But I could be wrong.

I like the duel look. I hope this doesn't get out of control and we start seeing a bunch of CL's with these huge ass tailpipes. Looks a bit IMO. Just my two cents.

Going from dual to single muffler is a huge downgrade. While your at it, take off your wheels and replace them with some 15's with some sweet hubcaps.

not really a downgrade. Our cars don't have true dual exhaust anyway.

Nope nope nope.... you are taking away from the agressive touch to the "Luxury Sport" appearance. I think the dual exhausts look nice on the CL, even if they are joined Via Y pipe, especially when the bumper has the cut outs for them, now on the 6th gen accord they don't really look right because they are just there with no bumper surround.

i guess its the american way to have something thats looks good but is useless.
I go to japan once a year to see family, all my friends there laugh at all these imports with duals. No import ever needs dual exhaust! Supra, skyline, rx7, chaser, gto = single exhaust. If a 1000hp skyline doesnt need duals, neither do i

You're right, I just drove by a '05 white V6 coupe. The "dual" exhaust actually looked pretty good, they finally put decent sized tips on it. Not as nice as the fat oval CL-S tips.

I guess that's the trend for foreign cars over here, everyone seems to be doing it, V6 Altimas, Maximas and the Nissan family, the Honda family etc. I guess us Americans just feel better with "dual" exhaust

It would be nice if someone had the money to build separate headers for both cylinder banks and run true duals just for an experiment, see if it would breath out any differently.

Just my

V8's need to equilize the pressure between the two sides of the head thats why they run duals. Even though there are SS camaros even that use one muffler

i'll take some pictures when i finish it, i'm going with apexi n1 gunmetal out the right side. If I run mandrel 2.5" w/o resonator, will it be way too loud? Should i leave the resonator in there?

Without the resonator the car will sound horrible.

Leave it in. I suggest a 18 or 22 inch resonator to keep it nice.
