Silblades...

Ok so I've been reading all of the old threads on windshield wipers, and it seems that most people vouch for the Silblades. So I just went on the website and ordered some. Then, I looked on the top of their website and saw that they have Ultra Silblades?! Should I cancel my order and get the Ultras? Has anyone had any experience with both and can tell me the difference?

Also, when I get the wipers, do I just need to swap these onto the stock ones and I'm set? Or do I need to prep the windshield before hand with anything or whatnot? Thanks guys!

`John

The only difference is the color selection. The ultra ones have more of a color selection. And the blade & the wiper are colored. The regular ones just have the wiper colored.

the best wipers are the stock ones imo. i've tried the bosch ones and they werent that great. i tried some trico ones and they were horrible. i tried the silblades and they were better than the bosch but not that great.

now im back to the stock ones and they have lasted longer than all the other ones i've had. try this with your stock ones: get windex and a paper towel and clean them good with the windex. i bet they'll work better.

when it comes to little details such as windshield wiper, its always best to use stock. use the method car_lost suggested, i will try it out since mine have been working alot crappier lately.

Well the silblades have a 5 year no questions asked warranty. If they wear out, break, or any other thing happens to them, they send you a new pair. You don't have to buy a new pair for 5 years. I had a replacment pair sent to me after 2 years. That was just cause the paint on one wiper was starting to chip off.
I never tried the high tech bosh ones.

I bought the Ultra Sill blades, I was not happy w/ them inthe long run...They left black rubber marks at the ends of my windshield. Basically, in high summer temps the things had a tendency to melt. I contacted the company and they were cool about it, they said it must have been a bad batch - but I sooner just replaced them w/ another cheaper bran at AutoZone and I've had no complaints

Windex has alcohol in it, alcohol dries rubber. Am I missing something?
a thin layer of car wax on the glass itself lasts longer than Rainx IMO and protects all the windows from water spots.
