is this a sign of my tranny going?

I have an 03 CL-P and everytime i start off in 1st, the TCS kicks in for two seconds. I'm not flooring it religously or anything but i'm not going easy on it either. I don't hear my tires peeling but the tcs kicks in everytime i start.

Should I be making a visit to the dealer?

Haven't there been problems with the ABS wheel spin sensors? The ABS system and throttle control are used by the TCS.

Are your tires bald or is the surface wet or slippery?

no even on dry surfaces.
I don't think it would have anything to do with ABS, ABS will only kick in for traction when you are braking.

My tires are going but they're not like BALD BALD, but they're still decent tread. Probably like 40%

It was possible to turn off traction control on my '01 CLS - Can you do/try that on your '03 CLP and see what happens?

If it does not kick in you probably have something wrong with the TCS and should have the dealer take a look (especially since this could be a safety issue).

Below 25mph, TCS controls wheel spin with a combination of reduced engine power and ABS. So I think it still could be a problem with the ABS wheel spin sensors.

Brown or Dark Brown with a "burnt" odor is perfectly normal and is not representative of the fluid's ability of continued service.

And I've verified this with oil analysis and bulletin from Acura.
