You dont need to get the front sway bar off. Go from up top to take the heat shields out.

alright got the heat shields off and now im soaking them in pb blaster overnight. I just got my magnaflows installed today and getting headers installed tomorrow then putting in my woofers. Also washed and waxed today. It does feel good to do stuff to your car yourself.

Post back when your all done with the DIY project.. i agree that working on such a nice car you might as well have some experience.. especially when your putting it on jack stands and going underneath. You will defiantly feel good when its all done. I hate washing my car, because i notice all the little chips and defects.. but id rather wash it myself then at a automatic carwash.

alright instead of installing headers this weekend I put in subs and magnaflows. When I went to the exhuast shop and asked him how much louder the headers would make the exhuast sound he said 30% I kinda doubt this but what do you guys think is their really a 30% increase in sound?

There's a bit more tone for me. It sounds similar to a G35 between 2-3k rpms, which I hate.
I don't know about 30% louder though.

Probably not much, if anything slightly more growl on WOT.

Lets see if anyone else is closer. If not, I can do it.
What sort of tools do you have? One thing I don't want is to have the header to cat bolts strip on us and not come out. I'd feel like an asshole if we can't get it done.

Me and my dad were going to do it and we both felt that it would be very difficult to do this with the small jack we had (it would only go so high) we had jack stands but we felt uncomfortable working under the car and we were also worried that yanking on the bolts while its up like that was a safety risk

2Fast4You....welcome........let me know if you have any problems/questions about your intake/RSB, i kinda have an 'intimate knowledge' of your new ride......and the head unit, we put the same one in mine.
And for some reason, it looks like the Tein coilovers we put on that weekend are not there anymore.
And those headers: The OEM bolts are rusted......it'll take an impact/air gun to break 'em loose!
Oh, and enjoy the bulbs...,,they're Kaixen 8500 k's!
