short shifter problem

i just noticed that my short shifter is hitting the console and knocking it out of place....anyone else experience this problem, if so, have you done anything about it? i was thinking about shaving off the inside part where the boot covers and where its hitting, but havent really seen how difficult this might be...any suggestions?

I think it's a really poor design in that it requires you to shave bits of console for a proper fit. They could have done a better job of this.

See my write up to see why I didn't like it and returned it.

I have been waiting on mine. I called and was told another 3 weeks because they have redesigned it and are waiting to test fit it this week before manufacturing the next lot.

I hope the redesign includes addressing the rubbing problem.

i took care of the problem last night....took all of 20mins, after my battery charged....everything is fine now....i guess i was one of the lucky one's, got mine in just over a week and it seems everyone else is running in to problems...oh well, hope Neuspeed figures it out so no new adjustments will be needed....

on a side note, i really love the look of the new TL shift knob, may have to go look into one of those

I agree….
I guess Neuspeed used the same shop for this part that OBX uses for their “custom fit” Headers.

I had e mailed thme and this was the reply:

Sorry, sir. At this time, no certain ETA is available. This part is now being redesigned, as there were some slight clearance problems with certain production cars. We are making this part to fit ALL of the cars in question.
Sorry for the delay.

Thanks again, Matt @ Neuspeed.

I got this on 8/29 So I hope it will fit better when they re make them

I should thank Matt@Neuspeed for contacting me too. NOT!

'slight' clearance problem? Hmm. It must be euphemism time again. You think they reviewed my pictures yet?

You'd think they be concerned about people like me who returned the product and complained about its poor design with hopes to re-establish a customer relationship. Oh well. Seems like Neuspeed doesn't care.

BTW, I also have a Cusco strut tie bar coming in the mail as I type this. A whole other story with another problematic Neuspeed product. I'll rant about that when the Cusco comes as a separate topic.
