1. Sorry but the ECU will only allow soo much air, your not getting any "extra" air with your SRI
2. "Cold" is a relative term. I realize that when its 90+ outside that us humans wouldn't consider that "cold". However considering that your engine bay will be about twice that temp your engine would rather have that colder air from outside than anything from inside the engine bay.

Thats the stupidest thing I've read all week!
^Exactly. The ECU just moniters the airflow. That is why you get the check engine light and which is why you unplug the battery for 10 minutes to reset the ECU. Or you could just drive and it should adjust and turn off.
spdy0001, get your facts straight so you can prove someone wrong, not right.
Your last few posts in this thread has made no sense and just make you sound like a compleate n00b.

The point of an aftermarket intake is to optimize colder more dense air to the engine. The stock airbox actually does this better than an SRI. The SRI draws air from the upper portion of the engine bay which is very hot. The SRI might look better and sound a little better than the stock box, but a stock box with a K&N drop in will net better gains. Your best option would be the Comptech CAI and second would be the AEM CAI if you are looking for gains
Not true (again)!By the way, the ECU does not tell the engine how much air it is going to get!The ECU reads how much air is coming in. Not the other way around. If that were the case then why would people be wasting time on money and ported throttle bodies, heads, and CAI, oh and headers and exhaust. It's all in an attempt to pull more air through the engine. More air = more power.

Lets be nice in here...
And noobs are allowed to ask simple questions without having people respond with "search" at least until they have at least 100 posts or so...
Lots of the OG's don't visit anymore... it's a shame, but the noob on noob violence will keep even the best away...
