shop estimate, sound fair?

I bought the timing belt kit (thanks Kaleb) and the Eibach Pro Kit (shocks/springs, thanks excelerate) and the bids for labor is $1000. This includes all installation plus alignment. Sound reasonable?

My local dealer wanted over 1300.

I had my timing belt, water pump, spark plugs and seals, timing belt tensioner, coolant flush, manual transmission oil, and more done for under $800 including parts. I think you can get it much cheaper than what they quoted you.

Your shocks and springs shouldnt cost you over 200 dollars. I have had 7 of my cars done at islandmotorsports in Cali for 140 or less everytime.

i did my suspension in my driveway once, and it wasn't very difficult. There's a great writeup here somewhere with pics and all. Basic tools and jacks....might save you some $.

this might be a good regional thread, but around here in MA, the tuner shops seems to be cheaper, I was quoted 200 for springs/shocks

3 hours and some beers and the suspension can be done. I find the most annoying part is pulling the back seat out.

Correct, no sway bars but I did complete everything else noted in my original post (timing belt service, install eibach pro kit + alignment), along with tire balancing to smooth out the ride. I was happy with their work and overall service. I'm now ready to move on to rims, brakes and install the RJ kit.

Where did you get the timing belt done at? I have the parts from David McDavid already along with the power steering and A/C belt.

Soulspeed Performance near Braker/Burnet. http://www.soulspeed.com/

nice indoor shop, they work on a wide range of exotics. they also worked with me on price when I gave them a competing offer. I was happy overall.
