What are the best shocks for our CL-S with Comptech springs? I am looking to get them within the next couple weeks...and where is the best and cheapest place to buy them. All help would be greatly appreciated....thanks in advance....

them!!!
excuse my ignorance
What is so great about Koni Yellows? I hear they are adjustable. Okay, that is good I'm sure. I'm getting HR springs soon and want to just stay with stock shocks. But then again maybe I can be convinced of the Konis worth by someone. I'm sure the ride will be even stiffer with the new springs. Think that spells any trouble with the stock shocks? Thanx for feedback.

As for life expectancy, I would expect the stocks (which is true in my case) to go out anywhere from 45k to 50k. Mind you they won't blow, but they will degrade significantly in performance to basically the point that they might as well have blown.
Koni's once installed should last the lifetime of the vehicle, one interesting point to note is that the Koni's where made adjustable (this was from reading off the Koni literature that came with the shocks) so that you can initially set it at the softest setting, and gradually over time you can readjust and tighten the settings to keep the same ride quality for ever

handling is great, but what if your looking for ride smoothness and comfort? I already blew out one stock strut, maybe because of the mechanic's fault, but I still am looking for that stock ride quality with comptech spring look. (maybe even softer than stock)
install for spring & shocks
Koni Yellows sound like a sound investment, especially with the springs. I mean, you will have to replace the shocks sometime anyway, so might as well get the ones with a lifetime warranty.
Quick Q: Should the price to install just springs EQUAL the price to install the springs & koni shocks?
I know they are pretty much part of the same assembly, but before I call the install shop and they try to dick me around, I might as well make sure via shared wisdom. Thanx!
