Shipping rims?

Hey guys, might not be the right section for this, but i figured you guys could help me out.

I'm selling my stock CL wheels and need some info on how to package them.

I've shipped subwoofers before, but that's about the heaviest I've ever shipped.

1) Are wheels easily damaged during shipping? Do i need to pack them to the MAX like i do my subwoofers?
2) Should i ship in separate boxes? or can i put 2 rims in one box, 2 in another.

Any info you guys could give me would be great.

Thanks!

i've gotten rims shipped not in boxes at all.

they were wrapped in bubble paper and had a cardboard circular "sheet" on the front to protect their face. that held up really well in shipping. they came separate....but at the same time.

Are there tires on them? If so it's best to use heavy tape & tape 2 cardboard cutouts around the front & rear of the rim. Ship all 4 separate.
If they are just rims, it's best to use a box. UPS makes some good boxes for like $7 each that can fit 2 rims. Bubble wrap the rims & place 2 in each box.

No, there won't be tires on them.

generally wheels should be packaged by twos, face to face with a piece of cardboard/bubble wrap separating them then bound with saran wrap or what have you. throw them in a box with some bubble wrap and you'll be good to go

Go to a wheel shop and ask for boxes. I'm sure they keep them around.

When I shipped my Rays G-Games w/ tires, from VA to CA, UPS store wrapped each rim in heavy duty garbage bags, faced to rims together and separated them with cardboard......then used strapping tape to secure them. Rims arrived in perfect condition.
