Shifter cable bushings OMG!
understandable, but at the same time extremely easy to remove those clips, so i don't see why not if you would't if you really needed too
Not saying it's not easy to do that either. Just making a point to say that you need to remove them to keep from damaging the shifter cable. Until now this thread has only said you need to pull the cotter-pin and pop out the old bushings and then throw the new ones in.
