She's Baaaaaack!

Well I got my car back on Friday. She handles very well. I notice no difference in the ride, tracking, or alignment. (except for the Comptech Coils I had installed )

Somewhere in the middle of this C-pillar is a welded seem

This door jamb is one big weld as well. If your in front of the car and look closely you can find part of it. Otherwise...

Now for the bad parts.

The fit on this part of the bumper is actually worse than the picture shows.

The left exhaust is original, and is WAY of center.

And look at the great job they did cleaning the interior.

And last but not least. There is a Mother Fawking scratch in the "new" rear quarter, just in front of the tire. The pisser... It's under the clear coat. you can't feel it at all.

So, per usual in this day and age. Nothing gets done right the first time. Because certain f'ing people keep breeding and diluting the gene pool. So it's back to the shop for some touch up, and a detail job. I was going to clean it myself, but after $12,000 in damages, and over $800 in car rental. This putz can send it out and have it detailed on his dime, if he can't get his idiot porter to do a better job than wiping it down it a Kleenex.

Oh Yeah! The paint job itself (sans the scratch) is spectacular. The passenger door was feathered in, and there is no sight of it what so ever. Not to mention him getting the color match SPOT ON!

The biggest and the most essential thing is that the car hold up as it originally would have.

Hopefully its all smooth sailing ahead for ya!

looks good tom... the bumper isnt off that much. mine if off that much from the factory and even more so NOW

but uhh, cant tell in the pic really but ya does look a bit off... the exhaust i mean.

that scratchs is FUCKED they have to fix that for sure.

otherwise... BEAUTIFUL... the color match is the hardest part to get right and the only thing they typically wont fix right after the fact.

that seems right on. will see it in person soon im sure...

Glad you got her back Rock... but sorry about the problems. Hopefully they'll fix it for you in one shot and the detailing will help clean out the interior

Looks good Tom, the springs make it look HOT.

the scratch is really bad, that is defintely thei fault, and needs to be fixed..same goes for the interior, that's unacceptable, especially after the conversation you had with them about it beforehand...

the exhaust, is not noticeable in the picture, and the bumper can prolly be realigned by loosening things up, and working it around...

hopefully it's all taken care of by weeks end...

I couldn't get a good enough shot of the mufflers, seeing as I can't squat very far

But believe me, it's very noticeable.

I found out that the owner did the scratch while putting in the spings. After the paint, and before the clear coat. My Brother-in-law (The Painter) went ballastic. But they have to wait a couple of three months for the clear coat to cure before they can fix it properly. I forgot to mention that the inside rear passenger kick panel is guaged all to hell. I made him order that this morning. It's goes back tomorrow for the little bumper and muffler. And they promised to send it out to a detailing shop on Wed. I started working on it yesterday and just kept getting more and more pissed. I shouldn't have to clean that thing.
