sell for altima or maxima?
thoughts.....newer maxima or altima with v6.....my cls is gettgin bad gas milage...plus the nissans have no tranny issues and will last forever..shoot i even drove a 4 cylider altima and it was still pretty quick...and I love the push start
The push start is just a gimmick. Would you really buy a car just for that?? Not a fan of the new Altima (and I AM a Nissan fan). But...that aside, why on earth would you buy a Maxima over an Altima? Why would you pay the extra G's for not much more than a cool sunroof?? Seems to me like you're more concerned about the small things than the major ones. And as far as the lasting forever...not all Nissans are that great. Some are (Z, Murano), some aren't (Altima, Sentra).

I traded my CLs for a pair of VQ's finest. I'm pretty satisfied, but I had a lot of reasons for switching.
How many miles on your CL? Are you close to the 100K mark? If you are, then that should be your primary reason for trading. If you are not, continue reading.
I like the new Altima, and the Maxima. I get about the same mileage as the CLs with my I35. The new Maxima is supposed to be slightly better, but not by much.
If you go with the 4 cylinder Altima, you're trading styling and performance for improved mileage. IMO, I would go with a Civic, TSX or Accord before the Altima.
Not to mention, you are thinking of getting a new car with higher payments, and increased insurance costs to get improved mileage. Do the math. Figure out how much you drive, and see if you will benefit from paying more in car payments and insurance, or whether paying a couple bucks more for gas will be better.

I saw the Altima being tested out here in the desert one day and I thought the rear lights were just exaggerated to throw people off who saw it before it being released but it made it to production. Totally too big for the car. Ugly IMO. I would go Maxima if you do go Nissan, but of course I'd say stay with the CL, but then again, maybe it's too sexy for most people to handle. TOO SEXY!!!
