seat belt help needed
well i used to search thing and i came up with nothing. So here is my problem the driver's seat belt is not sucking back into the seat bekt holder after i pull it off when i'm done driving. So i'm thinking i need to tighten the tensioner or something on those lines. Would anyone like to fill me in on how to do this?
I had my car checked for that problem three times. The first time they did a "Slow Seat Belt? Clean the Guide Ring" from Acura Service News (May 1991), that didn't clear it. Last two times nothing.. In my case the seat belt gets a slight twist at the shoulder best bracket guide ring about 85% of the times I take it off. In my opinion they either have to come up with a stronger retractor, or design a guide ring that will overcome the twist. Good luck and let us know if your place fixes it.
Yep. Just got back. They gave me the "Could not replicate the problem" answer. Cleaned and lubed the mechanism. No adjustment possible on tensioner. Seems like its a bit harder to pull out though.
All but one of the cars in the showroom had aftermarket 18" wheels. RS Limited and ADRs. Hankook tires. $3,000 added to the sticker. I told a customer looking at a TL that this tire, rim setup could probably be had for $1500 and invited him to come to this fine website for more info.
The TL Type S loaner had messed up steering wheel radio controls. One time the volume down button actually increased decibles and the volume up button changed channels. Was surprised to find the TL Type S seats were not the same as the CL Type S seats.
I was quoted $215 for the 15K service but was only (wow) charged $194 w/customer supplied Mobile 1 and Pure 1. Didn't get back my .4 quart of oil. Forgot to ask. Passed on exterior wash. They wanted $109 to do first change of cabin pollen filter. Passed on that also. Were the filter change instructions on Chods' page?
The Acura of Portland personnel are pleasant, smiley people, but I keep a death grip on my wallet whilst under their roof.

I have the same thing....shitty seatbelt retractors are a known issue on the CLS....I'm curious to know if this is still an issue with '03 since Acura seems to have done nothing with the other "bugs" from '01 like the rattling sunroof, the rattling rear deck, rotor warping, squeaky seat, etc.
