The s/c is finally in, but I had a minor problem today. First off, it was raining, and for some reason my windshield wipers didn't work. I checked the battery and everything was okay until I noticed that there was coolant everywhere. After putting some water in, I took it to the shop immediately and they said that some clamp was loose causing the coolant to come out and just needed to be replaced, and the windshield wipers just needed to be tightened
Before that, I had them run the OBD on the car to check for codes since my CEL was still on and the only code that it was throwing was something about the coolant. So I think everything is good to go, and tommorow night I'm heading to sac to get tunned on Sat. Hopefully everything goes well and I'll post pics.

Congrats!!!! I love mine. It is rediculous from 80-125 in fourth. Third is fun to. How do you plan on tuning? Why are you going to use the HBP and disconnect the IMRC instead of getting emanage and getting the extra 20-30 whp from 4000rpm to redline. You can safely use the IMRC if you have an emanage to dial in just a little more fuel at IMRC engagement and you would probably get more out of your tune with an emanage.

alright jeff, i have good news but even more bad news. I went to Shad's on sat. and I didn't leave till around 3. The pricing was fair, but I've never seen so many nsx's in my life. It was pretty crazy! We started the tunning, but there was a couple clamps missing in my emanage that I didn't even know about. He fixed the emanage and put my car through the dyno, and I didn't know the j32s can get that loud! Here's the bad part, my CEL! There was a crank sensor reading and we found a plug that was not attached to anything near my engine. We couldn't figure out what was going on. So, what Shad thinks is that since I had an auto tranny put in when my tranny blew, the shop who put my engine in didn't convert some of the parts from my old engine onto my new one. So, the dyno readings were extremely low. My numbers were like 267 hp, and 262 tq. compared to your 319 and 289. He pulled my your dyno sheet, and we compared the numbers. He said he never had to deal w/ this before, and didn't understand why the numbers were so low, especially to yours, which is the same setup. I want to post the sheets asap. I dunno though b/c I went on a little run w/ my buddy's m3 tonight and we were right on each other... from a roll. Shad printed out the sensor that he thought might be causing part of the issue, and it was the same crank sensor which cost me $500 when I was getting my engine put in. I want to figure out what's going on so I can get this shit done with. It just seems that my car is neverending w/ problems!

Some of the things you should have replaced are the cam gears because of the diferent notches in the back of them, the timing gear that goes behind the crank pulley, that has different teeth on it etc.
What does your CEL read?
If its not boost related then check the SC belt for proper tension and check how much your boosting. Otherwise it could be timing related whcih can cut your power down to below 150wtq, seen it with my own eyes, it can litterally cut power in half if timing advance is eliminated.
So basically if most of the mechanical aspects check out check the electrical components like the MAP sensor and those 6spd swap pieces which are mechanical too.

As far as the timing gear, when I was going through the cl manual, I also noticed the differences between the auto and manual. I'm thinking the shop kept the auto one in but I'm not sure b/c there was a plug that was just hanging by itself, not plugged into anything and that suprised me.
This link is for a whole powertrain swap, but I think since you already had the j32A2 that you'll need to get Richie_V6's harness or somene who knows how to rewire and what not to make the AT ECU interface with the 6spd. Otherwise you'll need to do a full 6spd conversion including ECU and wire harness to go with the new gears.

krisdlm,
Sorry to hear your problems. You should definitely contact fsttyms1 if you have not already. He is the guy on the G2 TL side who put a '01-'03 AUTO type-s motor with a '03 6mt tranny in a '00 TL using all the other CL parts required. Im pretty sure he is a moderator. He had the exact same problems you are and got it all strait. His build is a sticky on the 2G TL board. Check it out or contact him if you have not already. He seems to know his shit pretty well and is coaching a few others on the conversion.
It seems from post 12 you do have a emanage, why would you not tune with IMRC functional given the fact it can be safely used with the proper tuning of the emanage and you WILL get more power? If you are, never mind. The only reason to disconnect it is if you dont have an emanage with tune and are using sub 93 octane gas and HBP.
I hope you get it all strait. Jim
