S/c & chirping 2nd gear

I changed my oil from 5w-30 to 0w-20 and now my car will break loose in 2nd gear. Is this normal?

Changing oil viscosity always increases your HP by 20%

I thought some oils add a small amount of power? Like Royal Purple for example? I thought allmotor was running Royal Purple... Maybe thats why he has such a fast 6 speed!

From: Miami - just one day, I would like to drive without getting cut off!
I was talking to a mechanic, and I told him I thought my car was running slow. The first thing he told me was "make sure you're using 5w oil. 'Cause heavier oil will make your engine run slower."

Take that for what its worth.

Maybe you spilled some oil on your tire?

I guess I should have switched viscosity along time ago, or just oiled up my tire .

Do you have the stock tires?

When my TL-S was completely stock I could chirp 2nd gear as well..... so the answer probably lies in your rubber.

Thanks! Yeah, mine are definitely low on tread. But I need them to go a little longer while I upgrade a few other things first.
