RSX wheels and Tires on CL-S, plus some ranting...
Holy sh... I put on 16" RSX wheels and tires just for kicks while I wait for some new tires to arrive and talk about no traction! these tires and wheel combo weigh about 38 lbs as opposed to my 50 lb 19" chrome wheel and tire combo, and I really felt no difference at all, except the traction issue. accel;eration wasn't any stronger or anything, by the seat of my pants. I did come into a corner and just was screeching right through at about 35mph. it was so dramatic even at a low speed.
anyway, my car has been a beast with thise chilly weather, just screaming through the gears, feels like I can take on an M3, lol.
Man i'm in love with my car again. Prolly just gonna detail her, get out all the dings and shit, then just garage her up for a long time while I work on getting into an RL. that will be the next big Project, 21" RonJon Forged wheels and a full bodykit in the works for mid 2005. can't wait. just thought i would rant a little.

The RSX comes with the same old crappy Michelin tires that the TL/CL-S comes with, right? ... They're just a 16" version of the MXM4's. We already know how much the TL/CL-S tires suck, doesn't change in the 16" version either

I'm pretty sure I've read for every pound you drop off wheel\tire, its like losing between 7 and 8lbs on the car when your rolling. and roughly every 100lbs off the car will drop you a tenth in the quarter. a tenth is alot .. with another tenth and a half I will be at a 13.99

Hey rondog I need 2 new front tires on my RSX-S. I could care less about the traction issue. What would you let these go for?

$500 shipped for all four wheels and tires, pretty good condition, no curb rashes or scratches, just need a good cleaning. the are the stock 16" wheels and tires for the RSX.

rondog, how cheap are you talking for those wheels? what kind of tires you got on them?

Then that article was bullshit. Even someone like me who goes to the dragstrip once in a while can tell.
Assuming you're trapping at 100 mph, we're talking approximately 30 feet in 2/10 of a second in difference. Not only that, but 2/10 is quite a difference and you can usually tell when you hook up well and make a good run to shave off 2/10.
I can usually tell what my 1/4 time is going to be in the first 60'. It just "feels" different. So, I think it is very possible to feel 2/10 of a sec difference...especially when you start trapping over 100mph. Would I be able to guess correctly every single time? No, probably not.
