Ridiculous Revving
Ok, my CLS is revving very strangely, if im going 50mph in 3rd , sometimes it will rev all the way up to 5500-6000rpm's by itself. no input by me. other times when i am shifting from 2nd to 3rd, it will rev higher in between the shift. about 500rpms higher.
I just had my IAC valve replaced, could this be the problem again?
Also it took me 3 tries to get my car started today as well, while the car was still warm? any ideas?
thanks for anyone that helps

mine slipped from between 2nd and 3rd the other day too.
there is a tsb from acura about the hard start problem, take it to the dealer.

If so, say goodbye to your transmission. Take a look at your transmission fluid and see what color it is. Either way, give your dealer a call and make a service appointment.

this is what i was talking about, it's a fuel problem. i think they replace the fuel pressure regulator, etc.
i've already had it done.

Mine was doing this too. Exactly what you said. The car is at the Acura shop getting a new tranny. What also started happening, was when driving, if you have to slow down and the tranny down shifts, and then accelerating again, the car would shake and shudder ( spelling ? ).

ok, i was driving it around today, and now when i shift into 3rd and try to accelerate, the only thing that happens is that the RPMs just rev, and i dont go anywhere.
Im going to have to guess and say it has to be the tranny.
