Revised E-Manage 5AT Harness

Some of you may be aware of the problem which was experienced with the 5AT harnesses I recently sent with the IC kits. Both appear to have failed. I beleive it revolved around the simple soldering of wires to straight pins on the socket base. This was supplied this way to me and is counter to how I made mine, allmotor and BlueCLS6 6MT harnesses. But to expedite and keep costs lower I used another supplier.

I can't completely fault them as they have made similar harneeses without failure. I just feel it is to fragile for continuous duty. So I revised the harness to focus in on supporting the seemingly fragile area.

The current harness has an aluminum brace for the socket side pins along with a shroud. This should support the pins as needed and protect them from damage.

i wish all these companies (:cough:unichip, stone racing, obx) would be more like scalbert. they troubleshoot problems asap and take care of the customer. they actually TRY to work shit out.

so scalbert, what are the plans for hope system's now that you are selling the car and moving on to other things?

I am still working on several things with no plans on dropping them or stopping completely with Hope Systems.

Looks great Steve. I don't think the Hope System's IC kit will still be around by the time i'd have the cash flow for it. Good luck and again, that looks great.

Conceptually yes, but I never got a chance to fully test it. I suspect it could be used to make some decent gains similar to the Unichip, maybe better, maybe worse.

I never got a chance to test the latest ideas on an NA car.

Yes, it has been successfully mated to the AV6 so there is no reason why it wouldn't work with the 3.0 CL.

If there is a "typical" N/A dyno, showing the A/F ratio, you should be able to predict where the gains would be had. If you mean with the blower, but no IC,... gains should play second fiddle to bringing the fuel pessure down to a reasonable level, then look for gains with a flat A/F ratio.

No, I'd like to see it for a N/A application. That's what your thinking of doing, right?

The good chip looks as good as it gets. The A/F is flat, and assuming its in the sweet spot, I would not expect any better results with the E-Manage on a N/A application.

So the E-manage can be a substitute for the unichip ?

Very true.

It has the potential but hasn't been proven.
