I posted this before...but i don't know if got replies.

My car starts to make a resonating sound when you drop acceleration from 40mph to 30 mph. I can do it everytime now. I think it is worse with the windows open. Any ideas? the car doesnt idle rought or anything. No loss of power...nothing except when i am in that 30 - 40 mph range. It is weird.

 

Any mods done ? Jens

 

no Jens. No mods whatsoever. It seems to be becoming more prominent.

Hmmm... The '98 CL loaner I have does it. Sounds almost like a loose heat shield or something.

 

no, this is like a drive shaft vibration or something. It is very fine...it like fills up your ears...hard to explain. It is like a continuing bass going thru the car....

 

I got it also, i asked people also in the past but nutting to fix it. I did find 1-2 ways to reduce it so far. It seems in warm weather it less loud. It really loud for me in cold weather. Also I notice on a full tank it goes away with fuel injector cleaner. LOL but i comes back after 1-2 tank fulls. I had it briefly looked at, no solution, it 98 car, I haven't really spent money to investigate where it is coming from. So if u find a solution, please post in BOLD letters LOL. Thanks!

 

I think i get the same thing. I'll try out the 40-30mph and see if i can recreate it - i typically only noticed it around 2000rpm in 4th. No mods, either.
