I found the wire, did everything just like it said. I turn on the ignition, the light turns off. Take it out and the light turns back on. I put it back in for the second time, the light turns off, then I put it back in for the third time, but the light doesn't turn off..Ionly have 2 more steps and that's it.. so frustrating

Can anyone explain this reasoning?
I don't really feel like paying 89 bucks to go to the dealership just to run a code. I feel that's insane.

I also had a hard time trying to do it with a paper clip. I found it better to use a piece of 12-14 gage wire. I did take me about 15 times to finally get it to work.

 

Would it not turn off the third time either? or yours wouldnt turn off at all?

 

I had a problem keeping a unbroken connection with the jumper wire.
